Lothran was a mighty warrior, and one of the most devout men I have ever had the honour of knowing. He was utterly loyal to his faction and to his king and queen, fighting Her enemies wherever they appeared.

After he was cut down by those who claimed to be of his faction, his body was returned to Aachen, where it lay in state in the temple for several days. The body was dressed in the garb of the Brotherhood of Thorn, and a death mask was placed upon his face. At the end of the seventh day, hordes of snakes appeared outside the temple. Entering, they swarmed over the body of Lothran, enveloping him completely. Minutes later they left as quickly as they had come, leaving only the Death Mask of Lothran.
